Beaver Booking Photos and Records
A booking photograph records a person's appearance during an agency custody event. Release does not transform it into proof of conviction. The related Beaver court case can end in dismissal, acquittal, a deferred disposition, conviction, or another result. Read the docket and official court record before describing what happened.
Oklahoma's jail-register rule in 51 O.S. section 24A.8 lists prisoner identity, commitment information, description, and the date or manner of discharge or escape when kept. It does not expressly name the photograph. A booking image is requested under the broader Open Records Act and remains subject to lawful limits for juvenile, sealed, expunged, investigative, privacy, security, or other protected material.
That narrow statement avoids promising that every mugshot is public while preserving the right to ask for an existing agency record.
Beaver Released Mugshot Channels
Choose a channel by the agency that created the photograph. A county booking image, an ODOC offender photograph, and a registry photo are not interchangeable. VINELink may show custody data, but it is not the original image repository.

No Beaver outlet was found publishing a systematic official release gallery. A missing web image says little about whether the sheriff took or retains a booking photograph.
No Beaver Release Photo Feed
The official Beaver County navigation did not reveal a jail roster, recent-release archive, photo gallery, or sheriff release app. It did not publish a feed cadence or promise that a released photograph remains online for any number of hours. The 24-Hour Releases page is a records-access route, not a simulated feed.
Vendor applications for calls, visits, deposits, or commissary service do not become public release-search apps because a jail uses them for another purpose. Without a verified sheriff source describing a roster function, do not instruct readers to install one.
A named request is more precise than searching a broad window. It can bind the image to a booking number, approximate date, and agency record, reducing the risk of attaching the wrong image to a namesake.
Request a Beaver Booking Photo
Address a narrow request to Beaver County Sheriff Scott Mitchell, P.O. Box 687, Beaver, OK 73932. Official contacts are 580-625-4549, fax 580-625-4261, and smitchell@beaversheriff.okcounties.org. Posted office hours are 8:00 to 4:00. Confirm where inspection occurs before visiting because the page gives a mailing address rather than a dedicated records counter.
- Give the full name and a second identifier when available. Add the approximate booking date.
- Ask for the original booking photograph “if kept and open,” plus its booking number or matching metadata.
- Request the jail-register date and manner of discharge separately.
- Ask for advance notice of copying charges. No Beaver-specific fee schedule or guaranteed turnaround was found.
- If material is withheld, ask for the statutory basis and any nonexempt portion.
The Act gives access to existing open records. It does not force the sheriff to create a gallery, answer a legal question, or assemble a report that is not maintained.
Verify Beaver Mugshot Copies
A commercial jail directory or mugshot aggregator may copy an image, misspell a name, retain it after the case changes, or imply an official link it does not have. Do not use a paywall or removal solicitation as primary proof. Start with the sheriff record and Beaver County court file.
A verified law-enforcement release or local news report can document that an image was published during an arrest event. It still cannot prove final disposition or exact release date. Match the report to the OSCN case, then obtain the official minute or judgment when the outcome matters.
ODOC offender detail may carry an image for someone in state corrections. The public offender registry can carry current photographs for persons legally required to register. Neither is a general list of Beaver County released inmates.
Expunged Beaver Photos Need Care
Oklahoma expungement under 22 O.S. section 18 and section 19 can seal or restrict public criminal and arrest material after a court process. Eligibility is not self-executing. Read the order for its scope.
An empty official search cannot be translated into “never arrested.” Access may be restricted, a record may use another spelling, or retention may have ended. Old mirrors can persist after lawful access changes. To seek a correction, provide the precise URL, identity evidence or sealing document, and a concise request.
Oklahoma Photo Law Is Narrow
The jail-register statute provides a clear route to Beaver discharge fields but does not expressly enumerate booking photographs. Request the image if kept under the general Open Records Act. Allow the custodian to apply any valid confidentiality, juvenile, sealing, privacy, investigative, or security rule.
No enacted Oklahoma anti-pay-to-remove statute was verified. Senate Bill 379 was introduced in 2025, but official history showed first reading and Judiciary referral rather than enactment. Its proposed terms are not current law.
That does not make an aggregator accurate. Corrections should rest on identity evidence, official outcomes, sealing orders, publisher policies, and law actually in force.
Match Beaver Photos to Cases
Use the booking number as the bridge between a photograph and jail-register entry. Then use the Beaver OSCN case number to locate court events. Dates alone are weak because one person can have multiple bookings and two people can share a name.
The register can show commitment authority and discharge manner. The court record can explain dismissal, bond, plea, judgment, or expungement activity. ODOC can explain a later state-corrections path. Keep those records separate until identifiers match.
For a transfer, the county booking photo remains a county image even if ODOC later publishes another photograph. A registry photo relates to a legal registration duty, not to all released people. Accurate labels prevent a current record from being mistaken for an old jail event.
Phrase a Beaver Photo Request
A purpose-neutral request can ask for inspection or an electronic copy of the booking entry for a named person booked within an approximate range. Identify the booking number when known. Then request the associated original booking photograph if the Sheriff keeps it and it is open to disclosure, along with the metadata needed to associate it with that booking.
Ask for the commitment and discharge fields in the same request, but keep them distinct from the image. The jail-register clause expressly identifies those data. A custodian may have the statutory register even when the photo is restricted or no longer kept. Request any existing code legend for the discharge-manner field rather than interpreting an abbreviation.
Do not ask staff to decide whether the person was “really free,” find every image on the internet, or create a new collage. The Open Records Act concerns agency records. If the person went to ODOC, ICE, or federal custody, follow that destination for later records while keeping the Beaver booking image tied to its original event.
Add Beaver Court Disposition Context
Beaver County is directly searchable in OSCN. Search the name, county, and case number, then read event entries for bond, dismissal, plea, judgment, sentence, and expungement activity. The web docket is a finding aid rather than the official record. Obtain the court minute or certified document from the Beaver County Court Clerk for a definitive disposition.
A release order and physical release can occur at different times. The docket explains authority; the sheriff register records the custody event. Keep both dates when a photo caption needs context. If the case was dismissed or expunged, do not let an old arrest label stand alone.
Namesake errors are especially harmful with photographs. Compare booking number, case number, date, committing authority, and any other official identifier before deciding two records concern the same person. If they do not match, treat them as separate.
Beaver Photo Retention Is Unpublished
No universal Beaver booking-photo retention period was found. Oklahoma law does not create a single jail-record timeline through section 24A.8. Ask the sheriff which agency schedule applies and request promptly. “Not online,” “not retained,” and “never existed” are different findings.
If the original image is unavailable, an official press release or archived court filing may document prior publication, but it still needs case context. Do not substitute a low-quality aggregator capture when its source and identity cannot be confirmed. An ODOC or registry photo can be used only with its correct state-record label.
Record the source URL, agency, access date, and matched identifier for any image. That small inventory makes later correction possible if the case changes, a sealing order issues, or the wrong person was attached.
Retention questions should identify both the booking entry and photograph. Agencies may manage them under different record series. Ask whether a record was transferred, lawfully destroyed, sealed, or withheld rather than treating one generic “not found” response as the final explanation.
When an authorized copy is received, keep the agency file name or metadata intact. Cropping away the identifier can make later verification harder. Do not alter an image in a way that changes its factual meaning or hides its source.
